Once again we have made it through the week, survived bad beats at the tables and done as little as possible in the office so that must mean it is poker blog round-up time. This week we have some views of the Caesars Cup, some charity, a safari, some whales and a mini trip report. Enjoy!
One of the first blogs I check out on a daily basis is 'Secrets of the Amateurs', written by UK-based professional tournament player, Andy Ward. I don't think I've ever read a bad post from Andy, be it some hand analysis or his views on a particular subject.
He recently made a post regarding the upcoming Caesars Cup, which will be played at The Empire during the upcoming WSOPE. Apparently, Jesse May from The Poker Show Live has been saying that it is a disgrace that there are no UK players in Team Europe but as usual Andy makes a good point in saying none of them deserve to be in it. Read his post, 'The Best of British' and see if you agree with him.
Another player I admire is high-stakes cash guru, Cole South. I remember when I first started getting into poker properly and I saw a post on 2+2 showing some crazy stats of a winning player who was crushing online games playing a totally mental style, which eventually turned out to be Cole South or CTS as he is often referred to as. The guy has a sick life and recently came back from a safari in Tanzania and even learned some Swahili before he went.
Someone else taking some time away from the tables to look at some animals was Jethrow Horowitz who recently went whale watching! There are a couple of golden one liners in his post 'Failing at Whaling' but you'll have to read them yourself as simply quoting them here wouldn't do them justice.
Last but not least is a blog called 'Money Hater' written by a blogger by the name of PokerBob. In his recent post, entitled 'The Ace of Spades', he makes some good points, in a very funny way, on some physical tells you might recognise at the poker tables. I've only read a couple of his other posts and they all seem top drawer so once I've finished typing this I'm going to go read the lot!
Well folks, that's all for another week. As always, thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
