Frustration
Pud's Poker Progress

Poker can be a cruel beast at times and over the past couple of days I am living proof of that statement. Believe it or not but I am still playing HUSNG almost three weeks after I said I was going to try spend the whole of 2009 playing them, although my resolve has been severely tested this weekend.
Over the weekend I played a total of 25 matches and only won 12 of them to finish approximately two buy-ins down. Whilst this is not the end of the world, it was extremely frustrating when you I take into account I lost six matches where I had over 75% equity so "in the long run" I should have won, which would have turned my session into a nice little earner.
As a blogger I know people hate to just read about bad beats etc but I think some of these hands are quite "fun" so will share them with you! This hand shows just how bad players are at the $5 games, I mean WTF does he think his top pair no kicker is actually beating? My play here isn't exactly brilliant but still goes to show that when the cards are against you even being a 90.9% favourite can't save your bacon! To show that I myself also suck out, and to avoid the comments from haters, here is a hand from last week where I suck out with just 12.7% equity!
Overall I suppose I am happy with the way things are progressing, I mean I am in profit, which at the end of the day is what this game is all about but it is not as nice a picture as it was on Friday! For those of you who are interested, I have now played 136 HUSNG at the $5.25 level, have an ITM of 54.4% and an ROI of 3.6%. Before the weekend I was over 8% and delighted but I cannot let a run of bad results of 25 matches get me down. Back to the grind I guess! My goals for this week are to play at least 70 matches and hopefully have the bankroll to take a shot at the $10.50 games.
In other poker news, a big shoutout is needed for Betfair pro, Sorel Mizzi who is currently tearing it up in Australia, looking for another huge score to add to his already impressive CV. Somebody else killing the games whilst in Australia is my mate Kenn who recently emigrated Down Under and obviously took his luck sack with him as he is making some impressive scores! BTW, update your blog please fish!
There has also been a great development in regards to Pud Jr but I cannot really reveal it on here just yet but I am sure once everything is in the open I will let you guys know. I saw him on Saturday for three hours and loved playing with him and his cars, despite having almost zero sleep the night before and in the coming months I should be able to have him for longer and longer. Fingers crossed.
As always, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables.
