Feeling the burn

Matthew Pitt aka Yorkshire Pudding starts his fitness regime but suffers a set back in his 10k hand challenge.
A few posts ago I mentioned that I was going to try and get fit as I had put some weight on, wasn't happy with how I looked and generally felt unhealthy.
One of Mrs P's birthday presents was the new EA Sports Active Personal Trainer for the Wii and to get the most out of it you have to enter your weight. Whilst the scales were downstairs I decided to see what my bulk had grown to and nearly died when it displayed 15 stone 6 pounds! OMG!
I've always been around 13.5 stone and knew I had put on about a stone in recent times but couldn't believe my weight now, the heaviest I've ever been! As soon as I recovered from the shock I fired up the Wii and started the 30 day workout option, determined to burn some calories and shift some timber.
All I can say is Jesus H Christ, how unfit am I and how hard does the on-screen personal trainer push you? I managed to get through Day 1 which consisted of a little jog, a few bicep curls and other stuff, worth around 170 calories burned but Day 2 has crippled me, mainly due to lunges, high kicks, more lunges and even more lunges! Half hour later, a gallon of sweat out of my back and 230 calories burned!
Despite my thighs and hamstrings feeling like they have been battered, I actually feel motivated to carry on with the program, which I will do tonight after the day of rest suggested by the trainer. Anyone who wants to get fit but doesn't want to pound the roads or go to the gym, get yourself a copy of this "game", it is absolutely great!
Also feeling the burn was my hard drive, which has had to be reformatted due to it going a little crazy when my machine got too hot and I suffered some data loss. I had noticed the fans on my machine whirring away a little too much over the past week but put it down to the room being warm but it turns out some paper had fallen over the vents and the fan was full of carpet fluff so it was just getting hotter and hotter until it crashed out.
This means I have lost everything on my machine, including my poker database. Thankfully I had already jotted down all the figures of my play so far and selected a few hand so I can do an update on my 10k hand challenge.
At close of play yesterday I had played a total of 2,832 hands with a win-rate of 7.64bb/100. Nothing amazing but considering I've been stacked at least eight times, I am quite impressed.
After the rollercoaster session where I came from 4BI down to be just 2bb down I had too good winning sessions that totalled 267.25bb. I just seemed to be able to extract value when I was ahead and get away from them when I was beaten although I did managed to run TT into KK against someone who says he reads my blog, david3103.
Things went down hill though when I flopped trip sevens and ended up losing to a turned full house when the fish couldn't let go of his ridiculously weak hand. Honestly, WTF did he think he was beating? 91.4% equity down the drain!
In a very strange set of hands I managed to lose with JJ against AA against a relatively short-stack, all-in preflop then again ran JJ into AA who called me on every street of a 668Q5 board and then this hand finished me off as it started to tilt me and I logged off with my tail between my legs.
Rather than jack in the challenge due to me losing my database, I have decide to basically restart the entire $0.02/$0.04 level again from scratch. I don't want a database that shows 7,000 hands and then start trying to add things up, I'd rather have a nice clean database that reflect my play. It means I'll be at the nano-stakes for longer but its a price I have to pay for not backing up data I suppose.
Until next time, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables!
