I will begin by apologising for the severe lack of updates to my little blog this month, I am usually one of the more prolific bloggers on the Betfair site but this is only my second post this month. Bad Pudding!

The main reason for me neglecting my blog is the fact I have been super busy over the past couple of weeks and simply have not felt like writing anything. I actually sat down at my PC on a couple of occasions but when it came to typing, nothing came out! I am not one of those people who sits down and plans about what and how to write a blog entry, I simply plonk my fat arse down and start typing and once I have typed enough, I stop!

I gained some valuable experience over the past couple of weeks as I was essentially the editor of the poker site here on Betfair. I enjoyed editing articles, finding pictures and stuff like that, hopefully I did a decent job and will be consider to cover annual leave in future! The only downside was I seemed to have an overdose of poker writing, which is probably why my blog did not get updated as often as usual.

Betfair have a talented writer on their books by the name of Marcus Bateman. Marcus has played poker professionally and always writes about interesting concepts and situations he has found himself in and is always a good read. My only problem, well it's not really a problem per se but his theories are sometimes based on good thinking players and not the total donkeys that us micro-stakes players meet on a daily basis! With that in mind I am going to start writing some articles of my own, some of them mirroring Marcus' where they are aimed at the players at the lower end of the spectrum, where fish call you down with third pair!

On the poker playing side of things, I have not really done anything to write home about. I went on a massive rush at the $21 HUSnG and was up to $490 at one point but I played really badly, when taking some shots at cash games, and dropped quite a bit of that so I am essentially breakeven for the month. I really need to get my act together or change the title of this entire blog to Pud's Lack of Poker Progress! I have the ability and now the time, to really grind out a ton of games but I have been far too lazy of late. I will turn it around over the next few days, once I shake off this bloody head cold. It is Sod's Law that I never got a cold whilst I smoked, I have now stopped smoking for nearly two months and I get a cold right away!

Last but certainly not least, Mrs P and I have just found out that we are expecting a baby boy towards the back end of March. We arrived home from the 20-week scan about an hour ago and whilst we both would have preferred a girl (as we both have boys from previous relationships) a healthy baby is all that matters. Everything looks fine but we have to go back on Wednesday to have his heart measured properly as they could not see him as he was laid too low down in Mrs P and her bladder was empty apparently!

I will leave it there for now and promise that I will log some hands and show you what a micro-stakes fishy has to cope with on a daily basis!

As always, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables!
