I've been extremely busy with life stuff this past week so have not been around the blogs as much as I would have liked to, but I have still had time to dig out some bloggers for you that are definitely well worth a read and bookmarking.

"If your wondering why there is a horse racing picture above it's because it's Cheltenham next week - starts Tuesday March 10. The grey horse on the left is called Medermit and it's been suggested to me that the horse could run well in the opening race of the meeting;)"

For a long time, I have felt that life mirrors poker and vice versa. If you get a few minutes during today, have a think about it and I can guarantee you will find a ton of similarities between the two. Everyday we try to get our money in good by making prudent purchases at the supermarket or investments at the bank and we run bluffs when we tell the missus her bum doesn't look fat in that dress. One thing that is massively similar is that in both poker and life, you sometimes need a little luck.

One blogger who had Lady Luck on his side was Bossanova21. I've only started following his blog but he writes very well and each post seems to be well thought out. In one of his most recent entries entitled "In Cold Blood" he starts off by talking about a book he read with the same title as his blog entry but goes on to inform us about a burglary he was a victim of some years ago, which he summarises by saying "My point here, is that sometimes luck has a great deal to play in how situations turn out."

Poker mirrors life in the post "Hail To The King" by Klopzi. I have read Klopzi's blog for a number of years now and respect both his writing and poker abilities. You may wonder where the link between poker and life is in this post, but it is obvious really if you think about it...there are plenty of fish who don't have a clue both at the tables and in real life.

Tom, the owner of One Eyed Jacks Are Wild, wrote a good post regarding his thoughts about poker. He's a winning player but has started to wonder if he is playing this crazy game for the correct reasons. The final paragraph of February 26th entry is very thought provoking and has made me think about making my life more balanced.

Rubbish at Poker describes himself as a "40ish layabout dreaming of becoming a millionaire layabout" and he keeps an amusing blog. If anyone is going to become a millionaire, then it is vital to make plans to keep you on the right track to achieve your goals. Rubbish has done exactly that in this post here I particularly enjoyed goal number five for some reason!

Last but not least is Gcox25 all the way from Oklahoma City in the US of A. It seems that having several thousand miles between us does not alter the fact that everyone runs bad at some point when they are partaking in a spot of DIY. His post "Fence Repair 101" made me laugh as I once tried to repair a fence with my dad and I think we must have done every single point on his list. The only thing he missed off was the fact you will forget how large fence panels are and will have a nightmare of a time trying to get it back home on the roof of your car!

If your wondering why there is a horse racing picture above it's because it's Cheltenham next week - starts Tuesday March 10. The grey horse on the left is called Medermit and it's been suggested to me that the horse could run well in the opening race of the meeting;) At the time of writing he is around 16.0 on Betfair.

That's all for this week, hope you enjoyed the entries, tune back in next week for more of the same.

**UPDATE** Medermit just beaten into second place...tune in next year for my next tip:)

    Hi Pud,

I like your posts, especially the Friday highlights and your insights into other blogs. I have found some I really like based on your suggestions such as Joppa Road. Do you know of any sit and go bloggers you could suggest next Friday?

    Take Care,
    Paul
