A Strange Dream

I've not played much poker over the past couple of days, well not whilst I have been awake anyway! A couple of nights ago I had a really strange dream and I have no idea where it came from!
For some reason I had a dream that Kid Poker had decided to take me to Las Vegas and stake me for $7,500 so I could become the first bracelet winner of a new game he had invented called Go and Go!
They say eating cheese gives you crazy dreams, well for me it is curry before I go to bed. The other nght I made a Chicken Jalfrezi, I say made but what I mean is I cooked the chicken and heated up a jar of sauce but you get where I am coming from. Anyway, I decided to have an early night as I was shattered but little did I know I'd be up all night playing poker with floppy-hairy, soya munching Daniel Negreanu!
For some reason I had a dream that Kid Poker had decided to take me to Las Vegas and stake me for $7,500 so I could become the first bracelet winner of a new game he had invented called Go and Go! It played the same as Hold'em except all the betting was completed on the flop and all play was seven handed! WTF?
Unfortunately, I never won the bracelet and the only other memory of the dream was having to put Negreanu into a taxi as he was ridiculously drunk and making a right show of himself! Avoid curry before bed people unless you want to be up all night rubbing shoulders with drunken stars!
I finally finished my heads-up book and I am looking forward to trying to apply it at the tables in the next few days. From past experience, I fully expect a losing run from the off as I try to adjust to the new theory but as I make some changes and alterations and become more comfortable with the while thing, I should start winning and at a higher rate than before.
Although I plan to play mainly HUSNG, I have had the itch to play cash again after watching the first four episodes of High Stakes Poker. My mate Cadmunkey downloaded them for me and after about an hour trying to get them to work (can you believe Windows Media Player wouldn't play AVI files?), I watched three back-to-back and was amazed at some of the play. I know the thinking is 10-20 levels above my fishy thoughts but I think it goes to show that cash really is the was to make silly money at this game. Maybe I could incorporate some HU cash into my schedule?
In other news I got myself a bit of a bargain from GAME, the video console and game store. I've been wanting some new games for a little while now but funds are uber tight right now so I couldn't justify spending £10 never mind £40 on a new game. So I decided to trade in some of my old games and see what they'd give for them.
Well it turns out my choice of games is pretty awesome and I managed to get enough to get a new control pad, Tiger Woods 09 and The Orange Box (Half-Life 2 pack) for zilch, nada, bugger all! Whilst the games I got are second hand and not the newest on the market, it should give me something else to do in the small hours if I can't be bothered with poker.
I think I'll leave it there for now as I seem to have started waffling and this entry is feeling a little fragmented. I can't be held responsible though as I started writing this at 03:53 whilst you lot were curled up in your warm beds. Yes, my body clock is shot to pieces ATM.
As always, thanks for reading and best of luck at the tables!
