The WSOPE was a success. Hurrah. But still some of you want to go to Las Vegas for your chips. And as MrFancyPant asks in the forums, what happens when I get there?

Refers to forum posting here

He writes: "Has anyone been and played in Vegas? What are the players like? Do they play small/high stakes? How many seats at a table? Any recommendations on hotels?"

Sunday8pm advices: "I heard somewhere that only 5% of poker players who go to Vegas to try and make a living actually succeed, so be very careful with your expenses and treat it as a job."

This may or may not be true. There are many rumours circling Las Vegas, like the one about how the hundredth person to leave the aircraft gets handed $100 by a bikini-clad air hostess, and how if you use the word "pineapple" when asking for your chips, you gain entry to the "Secret Poker Room".

Ivanteacher nails it when he says "you won't spend much time in the room so go for something cheap".

Win big, or lose big, and the hotels will pay you to stay at them next time you're in town.
