HARTON ROSS (Trap 2, 19.26) has essentially kept some hot company of late and was far from disgraced in trying to hold the challenge of the very smart Droopys Live in a C&D open on Mother's Day. Skipping clear against the rails rates a possibility this evening and, with the calibre of opposition not so strong, we're hopeful he can have enough in reserve.

A similarly smart in-mate from the Carl Perry camp is GEELO CARLOS (Trap 4, 20.29) and he can land the second division of the Bresmed Northern Sprint Trial Stake. His Irish card was an impressive one and he has similarly quickly made in to a useful local, not needing to be at his best on his penultimate run. From a Timeform ratings perspective he stands out and one of his slick exits from the boxes can see him prove too strong for this evening's opposition.
