Needonenow (Trap 5, 14.47) was a ready winner in this grade on her penultimate start and having lost little caste in defeat on her latest outing, all looks set fair for another big run this afternoon. Jamie Smith's charge was operating at a higher level around the turn of the year and rates the likeliest leader this afternoon, so all looks set fair for a big run.

It's fair to say Snug Presley (Trap 2, 16.27) has lost his way since the turn of the year, hence his presence in the grade of A8. However, in truth Martin Cutler's charge has faced much sterner assignments than today's. Not known for trapping particularly quickly, the son of Ballymac Eske looks highly likely to grab a prominent position on the rails and having made more of an impact last time (runner-up in this grade) it would be most disappointing if he cannot make a significant impact.

Prim Lady (Trap 5, 17.39) wasn't at her best towards the back end of last month, yet her exploits on the clock don't read at all bad in the context of today's contest and Barrie Draper's charge may well be ready to get back on the up. Still very much in the puppy stage, a solo sprint trial ought to have blown the cobwebs away and she is fancied to make her mark in a weak A6 affair.
