Only a November 20' whelp, DROOPYS PINKY (Trap 2, 16:43 Sunderland) has essentially made a bright start to her career, successful on debut and taking a marked step forward on the clock despite meeting with defeat on her penultimate start. Easily forgiven her latest effort on account of trouble-in-running, she remains open to plenty of improvement and, drawn outside a moderate trapper in red, she can hold her pitch on the inside and prove tough to contain.
Angela Harrison's DROOPYS BIGGY (Trap 6, 18:51 Sheffield) gets our vote from what could prove a good make up as the sole wide seed. Winless in four previous attempts at Sheffield, his form still stands up to close scrutiny in this field and, having signaled his well-being with some slick trial workouts at home track Newcastle, he can escape potential trouble spots to his inner on the run up and come home strong from the three-quarter point to regain the winning thread.
CARROWKEAL SYD (Trap 3, 19:58 Sheffield) has yet to taste success in open company and hasn't tasted success since landing back-to-back A1 contests earlier this year. However, in the face of some stiff tasks, Lisa Stephenson's charge has highlighted his turn may be imminent in filling the runner-up spot on each of his last three starts at this level, his effort on the clock latest akin to his previous best. The move off the rails this evening rates a plus in our book and, outside a couple of inconsistent trappers, he can turn handy at the very least on the run up and assume control from halfway to deservedly resume winning ways.
