Timeform provide three selections from Newcastle on Friday.
Swift Binding (Trap 1) - 14:36 Newcastle
Swift Binding (T1) only has one plan of attack: break swiftly and attempt to make all. And she did just that she when making her last competitive start in A4 a winning one back in March. A3 class has proved a step too far for the daughter of Eden The Kid of late, but the grader's mercy has been noted and, with sound claims of seizing an early advantage on the rails, she may well string out the opposition and have enough in reserve to hold off the challengers.
Coppice Ice (Trap 6) - 16:04 Newcastle
Jimmy Fenwick's Coppice Ice (T6) can bounce back from a lesser effort six days ago and regain the winning thread. Boasting a 33% strike rate following his switch to the North East, the balance of his form reads well in the context of today's race and, with sound claims of turning handy at the very least, he can utilise his early pace to lead around the opening bends and enhance his already impressive CV.
Classy Ruler (Trap 5) - 17:22 Newcastle
Classy Ruler (T5) has yet to bring his trapping boots to the table but he's a youngster with plenty of ability, his taking, strong-running style again in evidence as he ran on for third in this grade ten days ago. Yet to get a clear run in competitive action, when he does he promises to be a real force to be reckoned with. He lines up in an A3 lacking the same depth as his latest one and come home best of all.
