An early-paced wide runner bagging three of his last four starts, he wasn't seen to best effect on the back of crowding last time. Expected to soon be handy from lid-rise, Phil Barlow's charge holds good claims on expected final time and he can soon be handy from the striped jacket and come out on top.

Cascade Raven (T6) bagged a hard-fought success three starts back and ran another solid race when runner-up five days ago, soon handy off the second bend and going down by only a head. Holding sound claims on the balance of his form and lining up in a race where a number arrive with a little to prove, he can soon be front rank out wide and resume winning ways.
