LONGACRES SWAN mixed sprinting and four bends when running at Perry Barr and following a change of scenery during lockdown, she's been knocking on the door at his level in recent weeks. The suspicion is that we haven't yet seen the best of Longacres Sawn out of the boxes and there's definite scope for her to rate higher at Newcastle.

FANCY TREND (Trap 4) - 19:16 Perry Barr

There are some unknown quantities in this A2 contest, notably ex-Irish performer Glavin Tyson and Feb' 19 pup Southfield Gump, but FANCY TREND sets a very solid standard for this level so earns the vote. An Open winner at Nottingham in March, she should now be cherry-ripe fitness wise on this third race back, and if she does retain all of her ability, Fancy Trend is clearly better than this class.

CLOUGH HANNA (Trap 5) - 20:52 Perry Barr

CLOUGH HANNA looked to establish herself as a solid A6 Perry Barr performer post-resumption, but last week's narrow defeat surpassed anything she had achieved previously on our figures, missing the break a touch before showing excellent early to lead until near the line. That performance makes her the one to beat in this contest but on profile she may well be overlooked with the unexposed Beepers Olivia likely to take a fair chunk out of the market.
