The first bet at Owlerton comes in the opener at 18.19, with LIL KIM (T6) fancied to snap a losing sequence dating back to a six-bend win at Doncaster in June. A strong-finishing second in this grade last week was much more like it and a repeat performance may well enable her to go one better.
Ballyboss Baz (Trap 4) - 19.26 Sheffield
An open winner here in July, BALLYBOSS BAZ (T4) turned an A1 contest into a one-sided affair last week, trapping smartly and never looking like getting caught. That early pace is a potent weapon at any level and while there is pace across the track in the 19.26 affair, Ballyboss Baz appeals as the most likely to come out on top.
Forward Thinking (Trap 1) - 19.41 Sheffield
FORWARD THINKING (T1) has often shaped as though crying out for six bends, but he displayed plenty of early zip when coming up just a neck shy in this grade last week. He has been sighted in Open company in recent months and on balance, is the most appealing candidate in the 19.41 heat.
