Timeform on Trevena

1.45 Sanctuary Newbury Maiden Fillies' Stakes (5) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
91p 6. MAGNETIC CHARM William Haggas James Doyle
90p 7. MISS SERENITY Hugo Palmer Josephine Gordon
88p 11. WINTER LIGHT Richard Hughes Shane Kelly

Analyst's Verdict:
Magnetic Charm is bred to be useful, and given her debut third over C&D was full of promise, a leap forward in form terms is very much on the cards. 6f is probably Miss Serenity's trip, at least in the short term, and she is a big threat, with Dinas Powys perhaps the pick of the Hannon newcomers.

2.20 Fornham Park Suffolk Handicap (4) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
101 2. LOS CAMACHOS David Evans Fran Berry
100 3. LETHAL LUNCH Clive Cox Adam Kirby
100 7. MARSHAL DAN Heather Main David Egan

Analyst's Verdict:
Marshal Dan is a genuine sort and upped his game when scoring over C&D last month. He makes most appeal in a tricky-looking contest. Good Effort and Los Camachos are next best.

2.50 Norfolk Park Norfolk Novice Median Auction Stakes (5) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
100 7. HOT TEAM Hugo Palmer James Doyle
85 10. ELEGANT LOVE David Evans Fran Berry
72p 6. FREEDOM AND WHEAT Brendan Powell David Egan

Analyst's Verdict:
Hot Team pulled clear of the rest when making a useful colt dig deep at York and a reproduction of that would make him hard to beat. The ground was soft that day but he handled faster going with aplomb when third on debut, so conditions won't be a problem. Al Wafi shaped fairly well at Lingfield and will be sharper now but stablemate Aspire Tower is a likely type and may emerge as the main danger.

3.25 Woodlands Park East Sussex Handicap (3) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
99 1. ALMOREB Richard Hannon Jim Crowley
98 7. PLANT POT POWER Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
97 4. BREDEN Linda Jewell Robert Winston

Analyst's Verdict:
Rebel Assault ran a cracker in a big field at Goodwood last week and a repeat of that form could be good enough in these calmer waters. This looks a little easier than the races Almoreb has tackled on his last 2 starts and he could provide the main threat.

3.55 Hilton Woods Cornwall Nursery Handicap (5) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
86 2. EVEN KEEL Jonathan Portman Rob Hornby
84 4. NAYSLAYER Sylvester Kirk Adam Kirby
84 5. STAY CLASSY Richard Spencer Tom Queally

Analyst's Verdict:
Even Keel wasn't seen to best effect on his nursery debut at Newmarket and is worth another chance to show he's on a fair mark. The progressive Stay Classy is an obvious danger, while Hard Taskmaster also looks capable of better.

4.30 Blossom Hill Devon Handicap (5) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
90 1. RETURNING GLORY Saeed bin Suroor Jim Crowley
89 3. GLORIOUS ARMY Ed Walker Liam Keniry
88p 4. BIRTHRIGHT Richard Hannon James Doyle

Analyst's Verdict:
Saeed Bin Suroor has his team in flying form and Returning Glory looks to stand a good chance of providing him with another winner on the back of a good second at Windsor last month. Glorious Army is another who arrives after a runner-up finish at Windsor, while Antiguan Rock appeals as the sort to go on to better things now handicapping over a longer trip.

5.00 Elm Farm Country Park Essex Handicap (5) 1½m

Timeform Top Rated:
93p 4. TREVENA Ed Walker Liam Keniry
92 8. ALEXANDERTHEGREAT William Haggas Liam Jones
91 5. CHEEKY RASCAL Richard Hannon Thore Hammer Hansen (7)

Analyst's Verdict:
Trevena put in good late work when narrowly prevailing on her handicap debut at Yarmouth, having hit a flat-spot around a furlong out. On that evidence, this stiffer test will be very much in her favour and she is taken to follow up. Alexanderthegreat did well to score at Lingfield recently and may do better still back on a more galloping track but handicap-debutante Konigin is feared most.
