2.00 Dreweatts Newcomers' EBF Stallions Maiden Stakes (4) 5f34y

Timeform Top Rated:
No ratings for this race

Analyst's Verdict:
The market is sure to be informative but Embour gets a tentative vote for the Hannon/Moore combination. Gold Town, Qaaraat and Headway are just a few others who make appeal on paper in what is invariably a strong early-season contest.

2.30 Compton Beauchamp Estates Ltd Silver Bar Handicap (2) 2¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
111 4. OCEANE Alan King Fergus Sweeney
109 9. SWASHBUCKLE Andrew Balding Oisin Murphy
108 5. HAVANA BEAT Tony Carroll George Downing

Analyst's Verdict:
Oceane boasts some strong 4-y-o form and will be suited by the step back up in trip/return to turf. Star Rider is another with conditions to suit and finished in front of the selection at Goodwood last summer, while Swashbuckle has few miles on the clock so may do better still.

3.05 Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup EBF Stallions Conditions Stakes (3) 1¼m6y

Timeform Top Rated:
115 3. RAHEEN HOUSE Brian Meehan Jimmy Fortune
105p 4. TEMPLE CHURCH Hughie Morrison Silvestre De Sousa
104p 1. MATHS PRIZE Roger Charlton Ryan Moore

Analyst's Verdict:
There wasn't much between Raheen House and Temple Church in the Haynes, Hanson and Clark Conditions Stakes here in September but the former has since gone on to finish fourth in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster so is narrowly preferred. John Gosden has won the last 2 renewals of this so debut-winners Shutter Speed and Enable have to be respected in what looks a fascinating renewal.

3.40 Bathwick Tyres Maiden Fillies' Stakes (4) 1¼m6y

Timeform Top Rated:
99p 14. THE JEAN GENIE Clive Cox Adam Kirby
94p 8. MANY WATERS Andrew Balding Jamie Spencer
87p 3. FASHION THEORY Charlie Appleby William Buick

Analyst's Verdict:
Potentially a warm fillies' maiden. The Jean Genie looked a good middle-distance prospect when runner-up on her debut at Haydock in September and may prove too strong for well-bred newcomers Mori and Nafaayes this day.

4.10 Dubai Duty Free Full of Surprises Handicap (2) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
112P 5. CHESSMAN John Gosden Frankie Dettori
111p 14. WINNING WAYS Jeremy Noseda Gerald Mosse
109 13. GLORY OF PARIS Rod Millman Robert Winston

Analyst's Verdict:
Usually a really strong 3-y-o handicap and this year's renewal looks no exception. Chessman looked a good prospect when making a winning debut at Kempton in November and gets the nod for a yard which has won this with the smart pair Gregorian and Muwaary in recent years. Winning Ways, Pivoine and Abatement head the many possible dangers.

4.40 Dubai Duty Free Handicap (2) 5f34y

Timeform Top Rated:
124 8. LADY MACAPA Clive Cox Sam Hitchcott
123 5. BOWSON FRED Michael Easterby Nathan Evans (3)
123 7. SIR ROBERT CHEVAL Robert Cowell Adam Beschizza

Analyst's Verdict:
Lady Macapa was progressive in sprint handicaps for William Knight last season, but still appeals as being at the right end of the handicap, so is taken to make a winning return for a yard among the winners. Double Up can go well fresh and looks a big danger, while better can be expected from Sir Robert Cheval this season.

5.10 Coln Valley Stud Bridget Maiden Fillies' Stakes (4) (D.I) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
No ratings for this race

Analyst's Verdict:
The market will undoubtedly reveal more, but May Sky's price rocketed at the Breeze Ups last year, and she has plenty of speedy types in her family, so she could be the one to focus on for John Gosden who took this in 2011 and 2015. Ruxleys Star and Superioritycomplex are a couple of other likely types on paper in a maiden which should throw up its fair share of winners.

5.40 Coln Valley Stud Bridget Maiden Fillies' Stakes (4) (D.II) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
No ratings for this race

Analyst's Verdict:
Tirania's price rose markedly as a yearling, and this well-related filly makes plenty of appeal on paper for a yard that knows how to ready one (won this in 2012), so she is put forward before the benefit of market clues. The John Gosden pair Alnaas and Poana also look the part on paper and any notably support for either would look interesting.
