Timeform on Preening

12.20 Coral Charge (Sprint) (Group 3) (1) 5f10y

Timeform Top Rated:
130 5. MUTHMIR William Haggas Jim Crowley
129 1. DREAM OF DREAMS Sir Michael Stoute Daniel Tudhope
127 2. JUDICIAL Julie Camacho Paul Mulrennan

Analyst's Verdict:
Judicial is a talented and likeable sprinter who should get a good enough pace to run at here, so he gets a tentative vote in a tightly-knit Group 3. Muthmir is well established at this level and clearly warrants firm consideration along with Dream of Dreams, who needs to recapture his 3-y-o form if he's to get involved.

12.55 Coral Challenge (Handicap) (2) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
123 4. ORIGINAL CHOICE William Haggas Tony Hamilton
122 14. CHIEFOFCHIEFS Charlie Fellowes Stevie Donohoe
121p 5. DAIRA PRINCE Roger Varian Andrea Atzeni

Analyst's Verdict:
This valuable prize may go to Chiefofchiefs, who scored over C&D in May and things didn't go his way back here next time when drawn wide. He's been handed trap 3 this time (8 of the last 10 winners of this were drawn in a singlefigure stall) and remains on a potentially handy mark. The progressive Daira Prince is a big danger, while Raising Sand and Escobar are also key players.

1.30 Coral Distaff (Listed) (1) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
120 1. AWESOMETANK William Haggas James Doyle
118 6. DI FEDE Ralph Beckett Oisin Murphy
117 8. NARELLA Roger Varian Andrea Atzeni

Analyst's Verdict:
Claims can be made for a number of these with the percentage call in favour of Preening. James Fanshawe's filly found further improvement to make a winning handicap debut over C&D last month and with potential for better still, she is fancied to cope well with the rise in class. Narella is interesting on debut for Roger Varian though, as is Awesometank who is also on an upwardly-mobile curve.

2.10 Coral-Eclipse (Group 1) (1) 1m1f209y

Timeform Top Rated:
134 4. MASAR Charlie Appleby William Buick
133 7. SAXON WARRIOR Aidan O'Brien Donnacha O'Brien
131 6. ROARING LION John Gosden Oisin Murphy

Analyst's Verdict:
Roaring Lion has twice finished behind Masar over a mile this season, and again when upped to 1½m in the Derby. However, John Gosden's charge impressed over this trip in the Dante at York and is taken to get the better of his old rival here. It's too soon to forget how good Saxon Warrior looked in the 2000 Guineas but he is on something of a recovery mission and Masar is clearly the main danger.

2.45 coral.co.uk Handicap (3) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
103 4. LOS CAMACHOS David Evans James Doyle
102 1. POINT HOPE Richard Hannon Tom Marquand
102 5. COSMOPOLITAN QUEEN David Elsworth Andrea Atzeni

Analyst's Verdict:
Manthoor got back on the up when winning his maiden at Lingfield on his reappearance, and he appeals as the sort who could do well in handicaps, especially as some of his juvenile form reads well. Point Hope and Los Camachos head the dangers in an open contest.

3.20 Coral Marathon (Esher) (Listed) (1) 2m50y

Timeform Top Rated:
129 5. NEARLY CAUGHT Hughie Morrison James Doyle
127 2. HIGH JINX Tim Easterby Tony Hamilton
126 4. MONTALY Andrew Balding Oisin Murphy

Analyst's Verdict:
Montaly wasn't at his best in a couple of runs in May but his stable is going better now and he's taken to turn the tables on last year's winner Nearly Caught, who didn't get home in the Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot and will be more at home back over 2m. High Jinx may prove best of the remainder.

3.55 Download The Coral App Handicap (4) 1m1f209y

Timeform Top Rated:
100p 2. BAJAN GOLD Stuart Williams Andrea Atzeni
99p 4. SOLDIERS BAY Brian Meehan Jim Crowley
98p 5. GODODDIN Hugo Palmer James Doyle

Analyst's Verdict:
Bajan Gold arrives in pursuit of a hat-trick, and it's been striking how strong he's been at the finish on each occasion, so there's every chance his limit has not yet been reached. Soldiers Bay and Gododdin are feared most in what is an interesting 3-y-o handicap.
