1.15 Read Paul Nicholls Exclusively At Betfair Novices' Hurdle (3) 2m69y

Timeform Top Rated:
141p 1. WHATSWRONGWITHYOU Nicky Henderson Nico de Boinville
138 8. ROCKPOINT Colin Tizzard Tom Scudamore
124p 7. NELSON'S TOUCH Seamus Mullins Nick Scholfield

Analyst's Verdict:
A good race of its type to kick-off with. Air Navigator's bumper form reads well and he rates a very useful prospect for jumping, so earns a narrow vote over impressive C&D winner Whatswrongwithyou. Rockpoint is going the right way and looks the pick of the remainder.

1.50 Betfair Cash Out Handicap Hurdle (2) 3m52y

Timeform Top Rated:
161 2. BARTERS HILL Ben Pauling Daryl Jacob
152§ 7. KING UTHER Chris Gordon Richard Johnson
151+ 6. LOUGH DERG FARMER Nicky Henderson Jeremiah McGrath

Analyst's Verdict:
Barters Hill needs to prove all his ability remains intact having not been seen since pulling up over fences at Cheltenham during late 2016. However, he's a tough, admirable sort who arrives potentially well treated judged on his useful hurdles form and could be worth chancing with his yard firmly amongst the winners. Low-mileage pair Lough Derg Farmer and Talkischeap head up the dangers.

2.25 Betfair Denman Chase (Grade 2) (1) 2m7f86y

Timeform Top Rated:
182 3. SAPHIR DU RHEU Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies
181 1. NATIVE RIVER Colin Tizzard Richard Johnson
175 2. CLOUDY DREAM Ruth Jefferson Brian Hughes

Analyst's Verdict:
Native River and Saphir du Rheu are the form picks, with preference for the former. Both have missed the first part of the season but, whereas Saphir du Rheu has an injury to bounce back from, Native River has intentionally been kept fresh with the Cheltenham Gold Cup in mind. Cloudy Dream may prove better over shorter but does have the advantage of race fitness.

3.00 Betfair Exchange Chase (Game Spirit) (Grade 2) (1) 2m92y

Timeform Top Rated:
190p 1. ALTIOR Nicky Henderson Nico de Boinville
180 2. POLITOLOGUE Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst's Verdict:
A race which to a large degree revolves around whether Altior is as good as he was on his first start for 9 months/since a wind operation. If he is he'll likely have too much for Politologue, but Paul Nicholls' charge has developed into a high-class chaser this term so Altior will need to be somewhere near the top of his game to stretch his unbeaten chase record to 7.

3.35 Betfair Hurdle (Handicap) (Grade 3) (1) 2m69y

Timeform Top Rated:
160 20. IRISH ROE Peter Atkinson Henry Brooke
159 2. JENKINS Nicky Henderson James Bowen (3)
158p 17. KNOCKNANUSS Gary Moore Jamie Moore

Analyst's Verdict:
Invariably one of the hottest handicaps of the season. Irish Roe looks well-in on the back of her excellent second in a Doncaster Grade 2 a fortnight ago and can provide North Yorkshire permit-holder Peter Atkinson with a famous success. Verdana Blue is another strong-travelling mare who should be well suited by this race and heads the many dangers along with Silver Streak and Waterlord.

4.10 Betfair Each Way Edge Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (3) 2m7f86y

Timeform Top Rated:
162p 5. DUKE DES CHAMPS Philip Hobbs Richard Johnson
158 1. IBIS DU RHEU Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies
157p 8. INDY FIVE David Dennis Trevor Whelan

Analyst's Verdict:
A cracking-looking handicap that can go to Duke des Champs. The useful hurdler shaped as if retaining all his ability on his first start over fences here in December and seems sure to go well if building on that as expected. Markov should figure again with his yard back in form, while Lovely Job could have more to offer returning from a break.

4.40 Best Odds Guaranteed At Betfair Bumper (Standard Open National Hunt Flat) (Listed) (1) 2m69y

Timeform Top Rated:
133p 3. GOOD BOY BOBBY Nigel Twiston-Davies Sam Twiston-Davies
131p 1. BREWIN'UPASTORM Olly Murphy Richard Johnson
127p 5. MOONLIGHTER Nick Williams Lizzie Kelly (3)

Analyst's Verdict:
A cracking contest in store, with Brewin'upastorm perhaps the pick of the bunch given the manner in which he accounted for 8 rivals at Hereford last month (had fetched £250,000 prior to that). Good Boy Bobby has just about achieved the most of these, though the likes of Moonlighter and Morning Vicar could be anything.
