All eyes will be on Santa Anita this weekend as the Breeders' Cup returns to the Californian track. Timeform have previewed all of the main races and you can find them all in one convenient place HERE.
The Breeders' Cup Mile, featuring a clash between Excelebration and star American performer Wise Dan, looks sure to be one of the races of the meeting, while the Breeders' Cup Turf, where St Nicholas Abbey will bid to retain his title, also looks likely to be a close contest based on the Timeform ratings.
The Breeders' Cup Classic may be lacking European interest, but it looks sure to be a fascinating contest as Game On Dude bids to go one better than last year. If there is a future star on show over the two days it could be Shanghai Bobby. Todd Pletcher's colt is Timeform's top rated two-year-old this year and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile.
Timeform's Jamie Lynch has been trackside in the build up to the action and hopefully his diary, outlining which horses have impressed with their work and demeanour, will further help you to pick some winners. Also, Timeform's US expert, Simon Rowlands, looks at both days, pointing out his best backs and lays of the Breeders' Cup.
Matt Gardner is setting out with the intention of landing the big bucks via a successful attempt at the Pick 6 and he has helpfully provided you with his best permutation.
For those of you who enjoy your podcasts, Timeform Radio have previewed both days of the Breeders' Cup and you can listen to Saturday's preview by following this LINK.
The Breeders' Cup may dominate the action this weekend, but, with the Melbourne Cup just around the corner, the Australian action is also top class. It is Victoria Derby day at Flemington and Gary Crispe has analysed the main race, as well as the other Group 1 contest, the Mackinnon Stakes. Gary has been in great form of late, highlighting the winner of the Cox Plate recently, and his opinion is worth noting.

On the domestic front, the Charlie Hall Chase, traditionally the curtain-raiser for the National Hunt season, is the big race on Saturday. Timeform provide you with a runner-by-runner guide to help you pick the winner. Over at Down Royal, Sizing Europe once again bids to register a win over three miles, having been caught close home by the reopposing Quito de La Roque in last year's renewal of the Group 1 JN Wine Champion Chase.
