Timeform pick out their three best bets from Sandown on Sunday...

"...he looks set to be a mainstay in the big staying chases this season when the mud is flying..."

Timeform on Terrefort

NO HASSLE HOFF - Sandown 13:15

NO HASSLE HOFF was highly impressive on his reappearance last year and has long since promised to make a better chaser, so it's worth taking the chance that he can up his game to make a winning start to this campaign despite some capable opposition. Fellow chasing debutants Dentley de Mee and Molineaux also make plenty of appeal, while Vivas must be respected in his hat-trick bid, too.

SEVARANO - Sandown 13:50

Those with previous experience over hurdles don't set all that high a standard here, and it could be worth taking a chance on one of the newcomers to this discipline instead, with SEVARANO making most appeal on the back of a productive campaign in bumpers in 2017/18. A ready winner of his debut at Kempton, he acquitted himself well for one so inexperienced when fifth in a Grade 2 event at Aintree in April, and should prove capable of better still now jumping, with all the tools to make an above-average hurdler for the in-form Oliver Sherwood yard (six winners from last 20 runners).

TERREFORT - Sandown 14:20

TERREFORT won three of his four starts in novice company last season, impressing with his strong travelling, bold-jumping style along the way. With further improvement likely to be forthcoming in this sphere, he looks set to be a mainstay in the big staying chases this season when the mud is flying (raced only on soft in Britain so far) and can pick this race up en route provided the ground is not too fast. Thomas Patrick and Elegant Escape can battle it out for second.
