Super Fly is Super Flop

17:45 Stratford - LAY - Super Fly (Forecast 2.7)

Todays race is the 17:45 Stratford, a class 5 novice hurdle over 2 mile 5 furlongs. Super Fly is favourite trained by Mrs Hamer and ridden by Byron Moorcroft.

Super Fly was an impressive winner last time at Newton Abbot however that was a very weak maiden full of hideous wretches. He made all and won comfortably unchallenged. He is not guaranteed to get his own way up front today and this is a much tougher task in this novice hurdle carrying a penalty.

The win came on good- firm ground and with the ground expecting to be riding slower today this could go against him. He was pulled up last time he ran in novice company and he should lack the class and talent to defy a penalty today.

Magical Wonderland and Bakers Girl look the likliest winners but my bet is the lay of the awful Super Fly.
