12:50 Lingfield - LAY - Edie Superstar (Forecast - 3.3)

Today's race is the 12:50 at Lingfield, it's a class 5 fillies maiden over seven furlongs. Edie Superstar is forecast favourite, trained by M A Magnusson and ridden by Daryl Holland.

But this Edie Superstar is a hideous filly, she was unplaced when outpaced over five furlongs on her debut. She then had a five-and-a-half month break before reappearing over one mile at this track last time when third.

She will get an official rating after today's race and is likely to be seen in a better light when handicapping.

The horse is very temperamental and looks like she may be a bit of a livewire. She is poorly drawn for a front runner widest of all in stall 10 and Lingfield does not suit front runners which will make her vulnerable at the end of the race.

Darryl Holland has never ridden a winner for the stable and the trainer has not had a 2yo winner since September 2006.

Maraasi and Smokey Rye can go well but I will be laying the abysmal filly Edie Superstar.
