To Lingfield where the Brigadier attempts three successful lays in a row...

15:30 Lingfield - LAY - Domenico (Forecast - 2.0)

Today's race is the 15:30 at Lingfield, it's a class 4 handicap hurdle over 2 miles and 7 furlongs. Domenico is forecast favourite and is trained by J R Jenkins and ridden by Richard Johnson.

But Domenico is an absolute cretinous example of a racehorse, he hasn't won a race since August 2005 and in 25 races since that win he has finished unplaced on 21 occasions.

He has ran quite well in his last two races but they were at right-handed Huntingdon over 3m 2f and today's drop in trip on this sharp track is likely to count against him. Beaten off marks of 86 and 93 in those races he is likely to struggle of today's career high of 97.

Being a hold-up horse this small field is a negative as he needs a strong pace and trainer JR Jenkins has never had a hurdles winner at Lingfield.

This race has been a graveyard for favourites with none winning in the four previous runnings of the race.

Chico Time and Roman Rampage can go well but I will be laying the one-paced hideous hound Domenico.
