Too soon for Alfadora to shine at Plumpton...

Today's race is the 13:00 at Plumpton, it's a class 5 handicap hurdle over 2 mile 5 furlongs for conditional jockeys. Alfadora is forecast favourite, trained by M F Harris and ridden by Charlie Poste.

Alfadora won a similar event on his first run of the season after a 6 month break.But having been given just 2 days to recover from that run he is likely to run flat and below form today. That win came over 2 mile 7 furlongs and the drop in trip today is a negative.

The ground is forecast as 'good' and in two previous runs on good ground the useless Alfadora was pulled up and 12th of 15.

Trainer M F Harris has had just the one winner from 36 runners over hurdles at Plumpton and jockey Charlie Poste has never ridden a course winner after 26 attempts.
