Asian Royale will run out of fizz at Cork...

Today's race is the 13:45 at Cork, a handicap hurdle over 2 1/2 miles. Asian Royale is forecast favourite, trained by C Byrne and ridden by N Madden.

Asian Royale is an absolute cretin and remains a maiden at the age of 6 years old. The horse is best fresh so it was no surprise that he put in one of his better efforts last time when 2nd on his first run for 13 months.

He is likely to run flat reappearing so quickly - just 3 days later.

Asian Royale has been beaten on the last 3 occasions in handicaps off today's mark of 81 and is
unlikely to win off this mark today. The cretin has ran over 2 1/2 miles once before and was beaten 47 lengths!

Trainer C Byrnes has had 15 runners in the last 2 weeks with no winners and 14 unplaced. Jockey has been beaten on all 11 previous rides for the stable in the last 5 years.

In a 21 runner field it's tough to call the winner, but easy to call a lay of the ludicrous favourite Asian Royale.
