Honky Tonk Sally set for a tonking of her own
14:15 Chester - LAY - Honky Tonk Sally (Forecast-3.25)
Today's race is a class 5 fillies maiden over 7 furlongs. Honky Tonk Sally is forecast favourite trained by Michael Bell and ridden by N Callan.
Honky Tonk Sally is the most exposed runner in the field having had 4 runs already, she doesn't appear to be progressing and is vulnerable to one of the many potential improvers in the field.
She was second last time at Sandown over the stiff 5 furlongs and is stepping up to 7 furlongs for the first time today on a track that isn't certain to suit.
Trainer Michael Bell has never had a 2yo winner at Chester and jockey N Callan has never ridden a winner for Bell. I expect the trend to continue today with this dubious filly.
It's a race with some interesting newcomers and horses open to improvement and I will be laying the overrated filly Honky Tonk Sally.
