Kirklees will be toppled at Goodwood
16:05 Goodwood - LAY - Kirklees (Forecast 1.9)
Today's offering is a listed race over 1 mile, 2 furlongs. Kirklees, trained by Saeed Bin Suroor and ridden by Frankie Dettori, is the forecast short-priced favourite.
Kirklees is a 3yo and they have a very poor record in this race. In the last 10 years only one 3yo has won from the 20 who have had a go at it. The one time a 3yo did manage to win was in a 4 runner race that consisted of 3 x 3yo's!!!
Kirklees was off-track for 11 months before reappearing recently to win at Doncaster. Given just an 11 day break since that outing, there's a danger he can bounce and run below form today at a course where he was beaten on his only previous appearance.
Although Saeed Bin Suroor has won this race three times in the last four years, the two 3yo's he's saddled have been beaten at odds of 1/2 and 4/5 - Windsor Knot looks his best chance of victory this time around. Illustrious Blue should also run a big race but I will be laying the cretinous swine Kirklees.

Anyone laying Kirklees I would think twice It will hack up but it is a short price and I can see where your coming from but the boys in blue will be taking this one with Kirklees winning easily.
