15:15 Stratford - LAY - BLUSHING PRINCE

The race I am concentrating today is a race full of cretinous excuses for racehorses. It is a selling hurdle over two miles.

Blushing Prince is a short priced favourite due to his official rating of 95. This beast does not look up to that official rating though and has not ran to that level over hurdles since October 2006. The horse looks gone at the game judging on his recent flat performances this summer where he finished 16/19 and last of 9. Blushing Prince has always been best from October onwards and this is not his time of year.

He is lumbered with top weight of 11-5, on the 4 occasions he has carried 11-1 + he has always finished unplaced. The booking of John Flavin also appears a negative as his record when riding for Richard Guest in 2007 is no wins from 31 rides and I am not expecting him to improve on that record today.

Today's rivals are not the classiest of horses obviously however there are quite a few in opposition who appear to have stronger claims today, notably Three Ships to name just one. I for one will be laying Blushing Prince and will be surprised if he can get his nose in front even in this lowly race.
