After another successful day on Thursday, Ryan has a further three chances to win on the final day of Chester's May Meeting. Get his exclusive views on the trio here...
"Dark Red is weighted to be competitive and he won this race two years ago, his only start at this track, when drawn 10 of 11. He is largely consistent and should run his race from a fair draw in five."
Another tough race for War Decree
He clearly faced a stiff task behind Benbatl in the Dubai Turf last time and, in fact, he has in all his three starts in Group 1 company since his impressive win over this trip at Dundalk in September. He is a very smart horse on his day, winning the Vintage Stakes at two and finishing fifth in the French 2,000 Guineas, and this clearly represents his easiest winning chance since Dundalk. That said, it is a decent Group 2, and Eminent will probably take a fair bit of beating from stall one, as well as the likes of Earl Of Sefton winner Forest Ranger having a fair shout, too.
Red can be competitive
He finished a decent seventh in the Lincoln last time, and he also ran an excellent third in the Balmoral at Ascot last season. Both of those efforts came in soft ground, but he is equally effective on good and the handicapper has dropped 1lb for the Doncaster run. He is weighted to be competitive and he won this race two years ago, his only start at this track, when drawn 10 of 11. He is largely consistent and should run his race from a fair draw in five.
Draw against Who Dares Wins but don't rule him out
Who Dares Wins
He looks to hold solid claims in an open race. Or rather he looked to have before we got drawn 15 of 17. He has won here before, finished fourth in this race last season, and comes here on the back of a good spin over hurdles at Aintree. Obviously, he went up in the weights a fair bit after he won the Cesarewitch Trial but if he runs his race then hopefully he won't be far away, if he gets the necessary luck in-running.
