Timeform pick out their three best bets for the Saturday of Royal Ascot...
"...the Robert Cowell-trained pair Outback Traveller and Toofi make most appeal, with preference just going to the former."
Best of Times - Royal Ascot 15:05
Best of Times boasts some good form, including beating subsequent King Edward VII Stakes winner Balios in a listed race on his return in 2015, and he caught the eye on his return from a year off at Chester. Best of Times was unlucky not to have finished much closer than ninth of 12 that day, keeping on under considerate handling when badly hampered inside the final furlong, and he could be on a lenient BHA mark (105) for what is a typically-competitive renewal of the listed Wolferton Handicap.
The Tin Man - Royal Ascot 16:20
The four-year-olds look strong in the latest Diamond Jubilee Stakes and it is The Tin Man who has created the most striking impression with his commanding reappearance win at Windsor last month. That performance - on rain-softened ground - just about sets the standard here and The Tin Man could well have more to offer after only seven outings. He's taken to give the James Fanshawe yard a poignant win in this race, one they took in 2011 with Society Rock who died at the end of May.
Outback Traveller - Royal Ascot 17:00
The Wokingham is always one of the most competitive races of the season, but the Robert Cowell-trained pair Outback Traveller and Toofi make most appeal, with preference just going to the former. Outback Traveller ran well when fourth over seven furlong at this course last September and has caught the eye when mid-field in handicaps at Haydock and back here (Victoria Cup) for his new yard this term. He looks very interesting back over six furlongs.
