Royal Ascot Follow The Money: U do want to back this horse at Ascot today

We're back at Royal Ascot for another big day of racing

Today's Follow The Money brings three bets from Royal Ascot

"Udododontu's style suggest he enjoys a strongly run race and we hope he can prove that with a step back up in distance. His trainer Richard Guest hasn't been quiet on how high he regards him: 'Udododontu is a proper horse, potentially the best I've got by quite a long way'. This race has been the plan."

Back Udododontu at 19.5 in the 17:00 at Royal Ascot

Today's other bets...
Back Log Out Island at 3.052/1 in the 14:30 at Royal Ascot
Lay Forgotten Rules at 4.1 in the 16:20 at Royal Ascot

We kick off proceedings with Log Out Island in the 14.30, backed from 3.87 in to 3.052/1. The Richard Hannon-trained colt easily made all on debut in a conditions stakes on today's course (good to firm) in April, and was subsequently purchased by the big guns of Godolphin. The form of that race has worked out very well with Buratino winning the Coventry Stakes on Tuesday. Stablemate King Of Rooks' form is solid but Log Out Island has the potential to be just as good and the money has come for this son of Dark Angel. The trainer also won the race last year with Baitha Alga.

Our negative comes in the 16:20 in the shape of Forgotten Rules. The lay was matched as short as 3.613/5 in the early exchanges but has taken a walk out to 4.1. With question marks over his ability to perform on a faster surface, his trainer Dermot Weld has even considered withdrawing his stayer if last night's watering of the track was not sufficient. There's plenty of strong opposition against the drifting favourite - he's certainly worth taking on at the prices and is today's FTM lay.

In what looks an extremely competitive Britannia Stakes Udododontu has been subject to solid outsiders support this morning, shortening from 28.027/1 in to 19.5. The three-year-old gelding looks to improve again from his impressive victory in a class 3 handicap at York in early May. His style suggest he enjoys a strongly run race and we hope he can prove that with a step back up in distance. His trainer Richard Guest hasn't been quiet on how high he regards him: "Udododontu is a proper horse, potentially the best I've got by quite a long way". This race has been the plan.
