Today's race is a class 5 handicap over 1 mile. Palmetto Point is forecast favourite trained by H Morrison and riden by Travis Block.

Palmetto Point has won his last two races however all of his wins have come in class 6. Raised 8lb for winning by a short head last time in a three-year-old only handicap he looks out of his league taking on his elders for the first time.

The ground is likley to be faster than ideal and his progression is likely to end today. In the previous two runnings of this race all nine three-year-olds have been beaten.

Zelos should have the beating of Palmetto Point today after being beaten a short head by him last time they met though the winner is likely to come from either Malinsa Blue or Hula Ballew. I will be laying Palmetto Point, the rogue.
