After two defeats I'll recover my proud record with a lay of Sally

14:20 Sandown - LAY - Honky Tonk Sally (forecast 3.5)

Today's race is a fillies maiden over five furlongs. Honky Tonk Sally is forecast favourite, trained by Michael Bell and ridden by Jim Crowley.

Honky Tonk Sally was beaten in two maidens before being outclassed when last of 10 in a Group Two at York on her last run. All three of her races have been over six furlongs, she drops to five today and should have neither the class or pace to win at this trip. She looks a regressive beast and is likely to do better over longer distances.

Michael Bell is 0-7 with his two-year-olds at this track in the last five years and Jim Crowley has never ridden a winner for Bell.

It's a competitive maiden and there are plenty of other beasts with chances so I will be laying the one-paced Honky Tonk Sally.

* The Brigadier's lay finished second

    Dear Boy

All of my bet's are sent to betfair before 6pm the previous day. I have never in my life looked at The Big Cheese's website as I dont take this person seriously since he refused my challenge of a one week head to head tipping contest with some half baked excuse.

    Kind Regards
