Today's race is a class 5 handicap for 3yo's. There are many progressive 3yo's in the line up and then there is the favourite Blackmalkin.

Blackmalkin was third on his debut before winning a weak six runner maiden at Yarmouth the next time. Although he won, he recorded an identical form figure to his debut run and does not look progressive.

He faces a much tougher task today taking on handicappers for the first time and from a mark of 63 he is likely to struggle.

This is his first race on polytrack and Lingfield is not a course that suits front runners which is a big negative for this free running rogue.

Kondokova and Polish World hold good claims in a very competitve handicap but my bet is the lay of the atrocious favourite.
