Olly Murphy: Glance has a chance while Johny can go well in the Bumper

Olly Murphy has five runners at Market Rasen on Saturday

Betfair Ambassador Olly Murphy has enjoyed some winners in the week and he hopes to keep the good form going at Market Rasen on Saturday...

"He did a nice piece of work in Lambourn last week and hopefully he can continue our good record in bumpers."

Glance will be suited by the decent ground

14:45 - Strong Glance

Strong Glance has done well for his summer break. He was turned over at odds-on when last seen at Sedgefield, but we feel we've found the key to him regarding ground conditions. He's got a course-and-distance win under his belt and the decent ground with suit him.

Fergus Gregory, has a 100% strike-rate on the horse and takes off a useful 3lbs. It's his first run in a handicap, and he lacks some experience, but he has a nice racing weight and we still think he progressive off a mark of 129. He'll have a good each-way chance in what looks a competitive race.

Hypnos needs to start showing something off low mark

15:20 - Hypnos

Hypnos was a winner on the flat back in April 2019 but has been very disappointing over hurdles for me so far. He's down to a mark of 86 and he needs to start showing something. He probably won't get too many more chances if he's not able to be competitive here.

Enchant Me needs to put last below-par run behind her

15:55 - Enchant Me

Enchant Me is a similar story, having been disappointing to date. We felt like she would have a good each-way chance on her last start, but she ran well below par. She's down to a mark of 76 and needs to be competitive. Everything she shows me at home suggest she well capable of winning a race of this nature but it's taking that form to the racecourse.

Here Comes Johny the pick of my two in the bumper

16:25 - Here Comes Johny & Rock On Tommy

Here Comes Johny is a new recruit to the yard in the ownership of Foxtrot Racing. He won an Irish point-to-point on the third attempt and I've been pleased with him since he's joined us. He did a nice piece of work in Lambourn last week and hopefully he can continue our good record in bumpers.

Rock On Tommy is an unraced five-year-old by Fair Mix who was ready to run in the spring before racing was postponed. He has come back after a break looking bigger and stronger, showing us all the right signs. Our promising conditional Lewis Stones takes 7lbs off and he knows him well. From what he has shown me at home, he's more than capable of being competitive in a bumper or two before going hurdling in the New Year.
