The Cheltenham Festival has come early in the shape of the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury on Saturday, which boasts the top four home-grown contenders for the Queen Mother Champion Chase, along with France's major hope Foreman.
The only horses missing from the top seven in the Betfair ante-post market for the Festival's major two-mile chasing showpiece, are Irish pair Newmill and Nickname.
The most fascinating element of the race will be the return of the David Pipe-trained Well Chief after 658 days on the sidelines with a leg injury.
The Pipe team are throwing him straight back in at the deep end against the likes of last season's top novice Voy Por Ustedes , Ashley Brook - who made a winning reappearance in a Cheltenham hurdle after a long injury absence - and the re-emerging Sporazene.
Betfair's current Queen Mother odds for the Game Spirit runners are; Voy Por Ustedes (4.6), Well Chief (6.2), Ashley Brook (10), Foreman (13) and Sporazene (24).
