Our attention turns to the mares handicap hurdle at Newbury this afternoon where both Pyleigh Lady and the French raider Paranoia look to represent good value at current Betfair odds of [9] and [12.5] respectively. The top weight Pyleigh Lady has a long absence to overcome but was the model of consistency last season and encouragingly was a winner here in March when winning over 2m 3f - the extra couple of furlongs should not present any kind of problem. Paranoia will love the ground and has fair placed form in France. First Feerie looks poor value now - she faces what seems a tougher race than at Lingfield last time and disappointed on her only previous start at Newbury.
