Joseph O'Brien discusses his Sunday runners at Fairyhouse and Cork and explains why he believes more than one can go close.

"I’d expect this run to bring her on, but her form entitles her to be in the mix and hopefully she’ll run well."

Should go close

13:50 - Little Light

Little Light has improved with each of her three starts over hurdles and was just touched off at Limerick last time. She drops back to two miles here and I don't think that will be a problem for her. Her form entitles her to be in the mix and all being well she'll go close.

Gunning for victory?

14:20 - The Gunner Murphy

The Gunner Murphy is a horse we've always liked and his last run in a maiden hurdle at Gowran Park was a good effort. This looks a decent maiden hurdle for this late stage of the season, but his form entitles him to go close.

Looks on Song

16:00 - Song Of The Sky

Song Of The Sky ran her best race over hurdles on her latest start at Limerick. The return to this longer trip will suit her, but ideally plenty of rain will fall as she enjoys soft ground. If the ground does ease, she will look to have a good chance.

Needs to improve

16:00 - Deilginis

Deilginis hasn't shown much in three starts over hurdles to date and the hope is that the drop in grade into handicap company might help her show a bit more promise.

Time deliver on early promise

14:35 - Esprit De Lumiere

Esprit De Lumiere is a well-bred colt that was a bit disappointing at the backend of last season, but the hope is that a return to turf and being gelded might help him deliver on the early promise he showed.

Laid-back filly

15:45 - Cimeara

Cimeara came to us from Jim Bolger last season with plenty of good form in the book. She is a laid-back filly at home and only seems to do the bare minimum. I'd expect this run to bring her on, but her form entitles her to be in the mix and hopefully she'll run well.

Well-bred debutant

17:20 - Light Breeze

Light Breeze is a well-bred filly that is out of a half-sister to the likes of Dylan Thomas, Queen's Logic and Homecoming Queen. Mine always need the experience on their first run and, with her having a very wide draw, I'll be happy if she has a good experience and shows some promise for the future.

Challenging step up in trip

17:20 - Red Sole Diva

Red Sole Diva showed a hint of promise on her debut at Dundalk, but will have to improve an awful lot to get involved over this much longer trip.
