Cheltenham may nearly be upon us, but Betfair Ambassador Joseph O'Brien has a few runners at Gowran Park this Saturday. Here's his verdict...

"The Gunner Murphy ran a lovely race when second to Gallant John Joe on his seasonal reappearance in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown"

Hurdling debut

Gowran Park 13:25 - Touch Of Oscar

Touch Of Oscar was quite disappointing on his last run in a bumper at Punchestown in December. We think he'll appreciate this softer ground and he can hopefully show more promise here on his hurdling debut.

Gunner get a win?

Gowran Park 13:55 - The Gunner Murphy

The Gunner Murphy ran a lovely race when second to Gallant John Joe on his seasonal reappearance in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown in November and the winner has gone on to represent that form well in his next couple of runs.

We have been waiting for a bit of rain for him and he should be well suited by the softer conditions at Gowran Park. I've always liked him and he should make up into a nice horse.

Maybe suited to mares'

Gowran Park 17:25 - Miss Pernickety

Miss Pernickety ran well in her first start for us in a point-to-point at Boulta in January. She should enjoy the soft ground, but taking on the geldings will be tough for her and it looks an above-average point-to-point bumper on paper. Hopefully she runs well, but her best winning chance might prove to be back in mares' only company after this.
