Joseph O'Brien: Course and Distance will suit Magic and she can run well again

Joseph O'Brien has runners at Curragh and Listowel on Saturday

Betfair Ambassador Joseph O'Brien has six runners at the Curragh and one at Listowel on Saturday, and here he discusses the chances of them all...

"Full Moon Magic took some time to get the hang of things, but she has been very good this season. This course and distance will suit her and hopefully she can run another big race."

Belmont will improve from debut run while Bamboo is a well-bred newcomer

Curragh 12:50 - Belmont Avenue and Bamboo Bay

Belmont Avenue is a lovely colt that made a promising debut in a maiden at Cork earlier this month. He finished off his race really well and should improve from that experience. This looks a good maiden, but his form entitles him to run well.

Bamboo Bay is a well-bred colt that is ready to start off. We won't burden him with big expectations on his debut and just hope he has a good positive experience with a view to the future.

Needs to improve to get involved

Curragh 15:15 - Snapraeterea

Snapraeterea has had a really good season so far, winning twice and running well in Group 2 company. He'll need to improve to get involved in the finish, but hopefully he can run another solid race.

Two good chances but preference just for Magic

Curragh 16:20 - Grace To Grace and Full Moon Magic

Grace To Grace was unfortunate not to win at Roscommon on her penultimate start, just getting touched off by a nose having looked well in control. She ran below form at Galway last time, but is the type to bounce back quickly if things go right for her on the day. Any rain that falls will help her and hopefully she can bounce back to form.

Full Moon Magic took some time to get the hang of things, but she has been very good this season. This course and distance will suit her and hopefully she can run another big race.

Well-handicapped on best form so hoping he'll show it

Curragh 16:50 - Dance Jupiter

Dance Jupiter is a horse we really like, but he just took time to come to himself this season. We started him off at Galway earlier this month and were delighted with his run. I expect him to improve from that and I'd like to think he is a well handicapped horse based on his form with Patrick Sarsfield last year, so hopefully he'll show it here.

Lots of improvement needed

Listowel 13:40 - Land Jet

Land Jet hasn't fired over hurdles yet and would need to improve a lot to feature in this.
