Just the one runner for Hugo Palmer on Saturday and here he provides his thoughts on Gododdin in the penultimate race at Newmarket...

"I'm very pleased with him, and he looks tremendous, so while it's likely that the winner will be showing improvement given how competitive this looks, I'd be very hopeful it will be him."

Looking tremendous and hopeful of a big run

17:05 Newmarket - Gododdin

I'd expect almost perfect good ground at Newmarket on Saturday, and that encourages more competitive racing with trainers waiting for this sort of going for some of their better horses. As a result, this looks a very competitive handicap for the grade.

Gododdin has been gelded since his last run at Sandown, and I believe that has improved him, while his pedigree and the way he shapes both at home and on the racecourse suggest he's going to be better suited by a mile and a half than shorter, and he gets the chance to tackle that trip for the first time here.

I'm very pleased with him, and he looks tremendous, so while it's likely that the winner will be showing improvement given how competitive this looks, I'd be very hopeful it will be him.
