Just the one runner for Hugo Palmer at Epsom on Friday but he has a live chance. Here is the Betfair Ambassador's view on the chances of Koropick...
"He's quickly come right after that run, is sound, moving well at home, and in great form, so hopefully he can return to his best. He's not a big horse, is very well-balanced and travels strongly, so Epsom's easy seven furlongs ought to suit, and he's nicely drawn in the middle of the field."
Koropick is a horse I've always liked, and I think he'll be suited by an easy seven furlongs, shaping that way when a four-length fifth behind The Last Lion in the Middle Park Stakes.
Things haven't gone his way since, as he finished lame when favourite for the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte on his final two-year-old start, after which he had a bone chip removed from a joint. Unfortunately he also managed to come back lame from his return at Newbury, where he tore off a shoe and hurt his foot.
The handicapper rates him the best horse in the race, and if he was coming here straight after his Newmarket run, I imagine he'd be a short price. He does need to prove he's back to that form, but I'm hopeful we can begin to see the best of him again after some bad luck.
