Betfair Ambassador Hugo Palmer has two horses in action on Saturday afternoon. Both run at Chelmsford, although they couldn't be more different in terms of form, so here's what Hugo has to say about them...
Chelmsford, 17:45 – Hostess
"I’ve been very pleased with everything Hostess has done... There are definitely races to be won with her."
In-form Hostess will enjoy this track
Chelmsford, 17:45 - Hostess
I've been very pleased with everything Hostess has done. She ran well on debut, built on that when second at Lingfield last month over this trip, and she ought to be better suited by this more galloping track. She's nicely drawn in the middle, and I personally think she brings form as strong as any of her rivals into the race, so hopefully she can put her best foot forward; she's shown me that she's well above average, and there are definitely races to be won with her. She's by Iffraaj, but her dam won the Lingfield Oaks Trial, and I'd expect this will be her last try over seven furlongs before we step her up in trip.
Filly faces step up in trip
Chelmsford, 17:45 - Djibouti
Djibouti is a small, sharp filly, and she has disappointed me a little so far. We're stepping her up in trip, but not to put too fine a point on it, I think her future will lie in low-grade handicaps after this run.
