Betfair Ambassador Hugo Palmer will saddle just one runner at the Curragh on Sunday afternoon and here he gives his exclusive thoughts on Koropick in the Phoenix Sprint...
"I believe he's still improving and he's in sparkling form at home, so I hope he can prove up to the task."
16:10 Curragh - Koropick
The Phoenix Sprint is a very competitive Group 3, and the top eight are separated by just 3lb on handicap ratings. Koropick is closely matched with the best of them, although he does have to carry a penalty for his win in the Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle, which obviously makes his task that bit harder.
Washington DC is just about the pick on his best efforts, but he's only won one of his last 14, while Son of Rest looked very good on heavy ground last time, but looks like he might need similar conditions to show his best.
Koropick is worse off with Kimberella having beaten him half a length into third in the Chipchase, and he has work to do to confirm the form. In saying that, I believe he's still improving and he's in sparkling form at home, so I hope he can prove up to the task.
