It's the final day of York's Ebor meeting on Saturday

York's Placepot will no doubt be a lucrative one on Ebor day and Timeform have attempted to solve the puzzle.

"Quick Jack is one of the most likable horses in training over jumps and on the Flat, and he is certain to give his running again here..."

14:00 - This will be a bigger challenge for Mondialiste than the listed race he dominated at Pontefract last time out, but there is a possibility that he could get another easy lead, should the only other confirmed pace forced in the race, Mutakayyef, be held up as he was last time out, and with many of these horses more suited to coming off a strong gallop, David O'Meara's runner holds strong place claims here and is worth banking on.

14:35 - There are plenty in with strong chances in the first handicap on Ebor day, none more so than Hernandoshideaway, who has progressed with every start he has had so far and, based on pedigree, should improve again for this further step up in trip. The slightly easier conditions expected at York today could suit King Bolete, who boasts some strong form this season, and considering his wins have come on good and heavy ground, he can be excused his disappointing effort last time out at Haydock, which was his third successive run on a fast surface.

15:10 - Buratino lacked the finishing burst he showed when winning the Coventry next time out in the Pheonix Stakes, and he could be one to take on, being mindful of the fact that he is having his 8th run of the season here and may be vulnerable to a fresher horse. Ajaya looks set to go well returning to the venue of her impressive maiden win, after running a good second in the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin last time over in France, and with William Haggas in fine form this week, she is worth including to make it into the top three.

15:45 - Quick Jack is one of the most likable horses in training over jumps and on the Flat, and he is certain to give his running again here, with his last Flat appearance, which saw him finishing second to subsequent Group 1 winner Trip to Paris in the Chester Cup, standing him in good stead in this competitive race. Astronereus continues to progress and should also be included in the hope that he is able to get into a decent position early from his wide draw.

16:20 - Hard to see Ornate out of the places here, with his easy maiden win at Ripon last time, where he beat several subsequent winners, leaving him well clear of this field on known form.

16:55 - Master of Finance's second behind Mahsoob here in May reads well, and given he was right back to his best last time out when seen at Ascot, he looks certain to go well again, considering he should get the lead early from a low draw under Silvestre de Sousa. Roseburg probably has more to offer having run well on his reappearance earlier this month at Doncaster, and as the sort of horse which Luca Cumani excels with in time, he should also be included in our final leg.

Selections:
14:00 - 10
14:35 - 3,6
15:10 - 2
15:45 - 3,18
16:20 - 3
