Wednesday's Placepot attempt comes from Yarmouth

There is some decent midweek action from Yarmouth on Wednesday, which includes the listed John Musker Fillies Stakes, and that is where we head for today's Placepot attempt.

13:55- No need to look any further than Massaat, who caught the eye on debut when second in a maiden at Sandown (form looks fairly strong) and arrives here open to significant improvement in what looks a very winnable race on paper.

14:25- Handbell has work to do from this mark, so You're My Cracker looks a safer option for place purposes, considering she has placed in all of her five starts so far this season, and she now gets the excellent services of George Baker for the first time. Ershaadaat is better judged on her promising final start in maidens rather than her handicap debut at Beverley, where a wide draw was far from ideal, and she should also be included.

15:00- There are plenty in with chances here in what is an open-looking feature race on the card. Speedy Boarding acquitted herself well in the Irish Oaks in July, and, with the return to this distance in her favour, she holds top claims here now dropped in grade. Angel Vision shaped well in the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes last time, finishing with running left after being denied a clear passage, and she is another with strong place claims who should be included.

15:30- Critical Risk failed to land the hat-trick at Windsor after switching to the Luca Cumani yard, but he was beaten by a useful prospect, and looks a good pick here, remaining open to improvement while taking on a host of older, more exposed sorts.

16:05- Hard to see past Flying Hammer, who stepped forward on his handicap debut last time, shaping better than the winning margin, having to overcome a troubled passage and still managing to get on top of a rival who gave her all. Flying Hammer remains in excellent hands, and could still be some way ahead of the handicapper as he takes on older horses for the first time here.

16:35- The progressive Maljaa is hard to see out of the places as he bids to land the hat-trick, he deserved plenty of credit for his latest win at Haydock, having been prominent in a well-run race and is well worth including, along with Doctor Sardonicus, who was perhaps just lacking for match fitness when a respectable third at Chelmsford last time after a break.
