14:00 - The ones with experience don't set an exacting standard, so Owen Burrows's newcomer MUTAAQEB (3) could be the way to go. He doesn't hold any fancy entries, but he makes a fair bit of appeal on paper, and with Burrows continuing to go well, he is well worth chancing. Expensive breeze-up purchase Turquoise Bay seems sure to do better after his debut and needs a mention, too.
14:35 - There is a strong suspicion that SIMPSON (1) will kick on now having landed a gamble in good style at Windsor earlier this month and he looks the one to concentrate on. He showed much improved form on nursery debut, travelling well and shaken up to go on inside the final furlong. A 5 lb rise for that success is fair and he is fancied to follow up.
15:05 - This looks a strong three-year-old handicap, but the unbeaten HIGH END (1) has done nothing wrong winning all three of his starts today, and looks the proverbial group horse in a handicap. He run to a near-smart level when winning at Epsom last time, and with even better expected now having his stamina drawn further, he can make it four from four before moving on to even better things.
15:40 - BROUGHTONS ADMIRAL (5) very much caught the eye at Thirsk on his penultimate start and was unlucky to bump into an unexposed improver at Brighton last week, pulling clear of the remainder in first-time cheekpieces (retained). That was a career-best effort and, able to race from the same mark here, he is expected to deservedly open his account.
16:10 - This doesn't look the strongest maiden, and it's hard to get away from the claims of ONE MASTER (8) after shaping with plenty of promise on debut at Doncaster last month. She looks sure to improve for that experience, still plenty to do two furlongs out after being hampered earlier in the race, but finishing well to be beaten only one and a half lengths. One Master looks sure to be winning races sooner rather than later and is expected to get the job done under Ryan Moore.
16:45 - This looks an open handicap, but BLAZED (4) makes a fair bit of appeal having shown promise in a trio of maidens. He ran his best race to date when finishing fifth at Doncaster last month, beaten only two and a half lengths and showing he is effective at this trip. That looks pretty solid form, and an opening mark of 70 could underestimate Roger Charlton's gelding. Ocean Temptress should bounce back to form and can figure, while Dream Bounty is worth a look for another new yard and Quatrieme Ami could be involved also off a career-low mark back from a break.
17:15 - DISCREET HERO (1) hasn't had much racing with cut in the ground, but he clearly relished it when winning over this C&D two starts ago, and is one to consider with conditions again in his favour. He didn't fare as good at Epsom last time returned to firmer ground, but he remains on a fair mark based on his win at this course, and looks the way to go in a trappy handicap. Annie Salts could prove the danger under Silvestre De Sousa.
