14:20 - ZAULA (4) isn't quite living up to her useful pedigree at the moment, but in the context of this race she hasn't much to find with the principals, and hails from a yard with a good strike rate here. She got back on track to some extent when third at Kempton last time, having things more in her favour, but her effort flattened out in the final furlong. However, Zaula is worth another try at seven furlongs and seems sure to be in the mix under a capable claimer. Cheap Jack is well drawn to adopt his customary prominent pitch, and having been eased 2 lb following a placed effort at Newcastle, should also be competitive.
14:50 - A very interesting handicap that is low on numbers but high on quality, and GANTIER (1) is expected to confirm the form with Water's Edge now stepping up further in trip. They finished second and third, respectively, behind a potentially smart type over the extend nine furlongs here last time, and though Gantier doesn't look the most straightforward of rides, there's no denying he possesses plenty of ability. He could have even more to offer in handicaps and, being a son of Frankel, he could well improve for this sterner test of stamina.
15:25 - AMERICAN ENDEAVOUR (2) produced a career best to resume winning ways over C&D five weeks ago, racing freely with the hood back on and remains unexposed at this sort of trip. He is yet to run a bad race on the all-weather and should prove too strong for Dream World, who is one to note on debut for shrewd connections, while Yusra is another to consider.
15:55 - COOLAGH MAGIC's (7) form stacks up, and he is arguably unlucky not to have won his last three starts, still looking as though he is ahead of his mark. He was let down by a slow start when a close third over this C&D last month, going through the race like the best horse at the weights, still having plenty to do over a furlong out but finishing best of all. He remains a progressive horse on the all-weather and is one to keep on side for now.
16:30 - This looks an interesting race of its type with several returning from their winter breaks, but the one who makes the most appeal is MAWAKIB (2). He came on for the experience of his debut when finishing third to a potentially smart type over this C&D last time, headed a furlong out and fading as though the run was still needed. He's the type to improve further still, though, and the yard had a similar type make a winning return at Kempton on Wednesday night, so there's plenty to like about his chances.
17:05 - LADY OF AUTHORITY (4) went close over this C&D last month, and that form is working out ok. A reproduction of that would give her leading claims and the addition of first-time cheekpieces could eke out a bit more. Herm and False Id head the dangers in an open handicap.
