"...he is potentially well treated if able to build on that now..."

Timeform on Make Good

15:45 - SOCIAL BUTTERFLY (1) remains unexposed at this trip following her recent C&D success and a 3 lb rise may not be enough to prevent her from repeating the dose. Next on the list is Red Stripes, who has been knocking on the door of late and his turn is surely not far away. Meanwhile, Storm Trooper posted his best effort for a while in a Southwell seller on Friday and makes each-way appeal.

16:15 - It's hard not to be drawn to TONI'S A STAR (1), who resumed winning ways over C&D under this rider recently and remains feasibly treated off a 3 lb higher mark. Shesthedream and Stopdworldnletmeof, third and fourth respectively in that handicap won by Tony Carroll's charge, should both be on the premises once again but Foxy Boy could be the one for the forecast.

16:45 - There are several in here who remain open to improvement, notably Decoration of War, who is having his first run for Mick Appleby, but MAKE GOOD (9) caught the eye on his first start for David Dennis at Lingfield last time. He was unfancied in the betting, but shaped encouragingly after four months off, just looking rusty when the sprint for home began, and he is potentially well treated if able to build on that now. Trade Talks also strikes as the type who should do better now handicapping and is another to consider.

17:15 - Sylvester Kirk fields a couple of compelling candidates in LAMB CHOP (4) and Dance Me, both of whom performed with credit here last time. The former is unproven over this trip but she may well be the answer if her stamina holds out. Proceed failed to pull up any trees in three runs earlier this year but could be seen in a different light now handicapping, a remark which also applies to Licinius.

17:45 - REDICEAN (1) hasn't progressed from his promising reappearance over hurdles, but is potentially very well treated back in this sphere judged on his hurdling exploits last season, and is taken to get the better of stablemate William Hunter. The lightly-raced Maybe Today is not discounted and Near Kettering will be a threat off this mark if able to fire on all cylinders.

18:15 - It's easy to see why Lumen is a short-priced favourite given he remains unexposed and won well at Lingfield last time, but SOMETHING BREWING (1) is starting to look well treated now, and could be worth chancing. He ran well when finishing runner-up over hurdles in October, but didn't get far switched to fences last time, falling at the fifth, but he is just 2 lb higher than when winning a C&D handicap in July now returned to the Flat. Luke Morris is a good booking and a bold bid is expected with conditions in his favour.

18:45 - Preference in this tricky-looking contest is for HAPPY ESCAPE (5), who has proved a model of consistency since switched to handicaps and her latest effort off this mark at Kempton was solid. The hat-trick seeking Contrive is bound to attract support but she needs to improve and bigger threats may be posed by Considered Opinion and Pride's Gold.

19:15 - This trip could prove just the ticket for CAPTAIN DAN (3), who has shaped well in maidens over 6f and 1m at Dundalk. He remains with potential and is marginally preferred to Point Zero, who has the crossbar at Southwell the last twice and won't go down without a fight. Bond Street Beau is the pick of the remainder.
