There is racing from Windsor on Monday night and that is where we head for today's Placepot attempt...
"...he should go close here with a repeat of his debut form behind King of Rooks"
17:55 - Richard Hannon's Nisser stands out on known form and can make amends for defeat at Ascot seventeen days ago. The son of Dream Ahead was possibly unsuited by how the race panned out last time, and is much better judged on his three-and-a-half-length third in a deep Newmarket maiden on his debut.
18:30 - Inherent Advice represents a rare Flat runner for Mrs S Ricci, and he should go close here with a repeat of his debut form behind King of Rooks, with his luckless run at Sandown last time best excused. A chance is also taken on Irish Eclare, who showed ability last time amid greenness and represents the in-form Charlie Hills yard, who have sent out a couple of nice sorts to win maidens at this venue in recent seasons.
19:00 - Current favourite Mehronissa has a tendency to race too freely, and despite a step back in the right direction last time at Newmarket, a chance is taken instead on the unexposed maiden winner Quite A Story, who naturally remains open to improvement on handicap debut. Perfect Alchemy is not readily discounted either here after being easy to back last time out at Kempton, and she's a lot more attractive now back against her own gender.
19:30 - Pink Ribbon is weighted to go close again here after hitting the woodwork at both Lingfield and Salisbury recently, he gets the nod in a very tricky handicap, where Gary Mahon's 5lb claim could prove crucial.
20:00 - Course winner Elusive Guest remains lightly-raced and took a step back in the right direction when a close third at Leicester last time, where he was arguably given too much to do and hinted that a return to further could suit.
20:35 - Although it required a trip to the Stewards' room for Oskar Denarius to gain his first career success, it did represent an improved effort, and as a lightly-raced four-year-old in a modest race, he looks the best option despite his slightly awkward head carriage in the latter stages that day.
